With an extensive background in surgery, emergency medicine, and aesthetic medicine, Dr. Acosta has the experience and knowledge to understand and address your medical concerns. As an internal medicine physician, he has worked as a primary care physician, hospitalist, urgent care physician, and in emergency medicine.
Originally from Lovington, NM, Dr. Acosta received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is committed to sharing his medical experience and his commitment to providing the highest level of care by working with the next generation of medical students, residents, and nurse practitioner students.
Dr. Steven L. Acosta
Samantha is an experienced adult acute care nurse who now works as a family nurse practitioner. She has experience as an Interim Director, Manager, Clinical Nurse Leader, and a staff RN in Telemetry, and an Administrative Nurse Manager.
Outside of the acute care setting, her experience includes nursing and nursing leadership in long-term care and home health care, clinical preceptor and nursing instructor at Dona Ana Community College. Samantha has done clinical rotations in adult and geriatric primary care, Urgent care and Pediatrics as well. She is a member of the American Nurses Association.
Regina G. Lanier is a native New Mexican with 18 years of critical and emergency care experience ranging from Memphis, TN, El Paso, TX and back to Las Cruces, NM.
She earned her Doctorate of Nurse Practice with a specialty in Family Care in 2020 from NMSU. She began her Nurse Practitioner career at the New Mexico Department of Health and then transitioned to hospice and palliative care.
She later joined Acosta Medical Clinic and is excited to work with such an amazing group of professionals. She feels so fortunate to be a part of a company that is like family and where she can help her fellow Las Cruces with their medical care. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching her children play various sports as well as traveling when time and schedules allow.
